What is NAD+ Therapy?

NAD+ (Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide) is a simple metabolic coenzyme of Niacin, a B Vitamin that is involved in energy production for every mitochondria within your body. Research has shown that people afflicted with addiction, alcoholism, stress and depression, have an NAD+ deficiency. The treatment replenishes the supply of neurotransmitters and promotes healthy brain function. It is based completely on nutrients that are found naturally within a healthy body.  The withdrawal symptoms and patient cravings for the abused substance are often impediments to sobriety. NAD+ helps to minimize withdrawals from addictive substances and restore brain function so you can focus on your recovery and reaching optimal health.

How does it work?

The external infusion of NAD+ significantly decreases any withdrawal symptoms, and fosters a sense of wellbeing. The neurons within your brain’s reward system appear to be restored and normalized.  At the end of treatment, patients generally report a reduction in cravings, increased clarity of mind, better problem-solving ability, improved focus and concentration, increased energy, and improved mood.  When combined with ongoing coaching and counseling, patients are able to make a life-long recovery.

NAD+ has been used for detoxification from alcohol, opiates, benzodiazepines, stimulants, tobacco and tranquilizers. Current research indicates that this treatment is also effective in treating other afflictions, such as stress disorders, depression, anxiety and chronic illness.

Disclaimer - Although we and others believe NAD+ is an effective and lasting treatment for addiction to drugs and alcohol, it has not been studied by the FDA, and is not an FDA approved treatment. NAD+ qualifies as a supplement under FDA guidelines.

brain-restore-plus-logo.gif is Springfield Wellness Center’s proprietary protocol that the brain needs for healthy functioning. Stress, depression, addiction, alcoholism, and post-traumatic stress deplete the brain of chemicals known as neurotransmitters. Our BR+ protocols, which include nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD), help patients replenish their supply of neurotransmitters, withdraw from addictive substances.
Studies conducted in the early 1960s demonstrated the efficacy and safety of IV NAD in detoxifying patients from alcohol, opiates, tranquilizers and stimulants. Like the early studies, our experience with the protocol over the years substantiates its benefits in greatly reducing withdrawal symptoms, as well as reducing, and often eliminating the cravings.  When using NAD with the BR+ protocols for addiction or stress treatment, neurochemical imbalances can be restored to healthy functioning usually within ten days or less.

At the end of the treatment, more than 90% of our patients report no cravings, increased clarity of mind, better problem-solving ability, improved focus and concentration, increased energy, and improved mood. When combined with psychological and spiritual counseling, individual or group therapy, 12-step programs, and spiritual practices, patients are able to make a lifelong recovery.
